Commercial-Grade Cooking, Built for the Most Ambitious Home Kitchens
The Proline PLST 48G is the rangetop for cooks who cook at scale. Eight sealed burners with two 20,000 BTU power burners give you the capacity and cooking power of a restaurant kitchen — and the layout is symmetrical, so two cooks can work the rangetop simultaneously without overlap or a single cook can run an entire multi-course meal with every pan on the exact burner output it needs.
The dual 20,000 BTU power burners are the defining feature. With 40,000 BTUs of searing capacity available simultaneously, you can run a commercial-grade stockpot boil alongside a cast iron sear, or cook for a dinner party of twelve without the bottleneck of waiting for burners to free up. The four 9,000 and 6,000 BTU burners round out the heat range with dedicated zones for sauces, braising, delicate simmering, and holding dishes at serving temperature.
Heavy-duty continuous cast iron grates span the full 48-inch surface, letting you slide a full Dutch oven from one end of the rangetop to the other without lifting. Commercial-grade metal knobs, front-mounted for precise at-a-glance control, put all eight burners at your fingertips. The 430-grade stainless steel construction and black porcelain top deliver the aesthetic of a professional kitchen — a true centerpiece for the serious cooking space.
Despite its commercial capability — 94,000 BTUs across eight burners — the PLST 48G installs on a standard 120V household outlet. No 240V electrical upgrade required. Natural gas or LP compatible. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty and Proline's U.S.-based customer support.
If you cook for a crowd, entertain often, or want a home cooking setup that mirrors a professional kitchen, the PLST 48G is the rangetop engineered for the job.

The PLST 48G has eight sealed burners in a balanced layout: two 20,000 BTU power burners, two 12,000 BTU burners, two 9,000 BTU burners, and two 6,000 BTU simmer burners. Total output is 94,000 BTUs — commercial-grade performance with the versatility to handle everything from delicate sauces to high-heat wok cooking simultaneously.
If you regularly cook for six or more people, host dinner parties, prepare multi-course meals, or want a home setup that mirrors a professional kitchen, the 48" is the right call. Two 20,000 BTU power burners means two people can sear simultaneously, and the eight-burner surface gives you capacity to prep an entire multi-course meal without ever shuffling pans.
More burners and more power. The 48" has eight burners to the 36"'s six, and crucially it has two 20,000 BTU power burners versus the 36"'s single power burner. If you want simultaneous high-heat cooking — searing multiple steaks at once, running a stockpot and a wok at the same time — the 48" delivers that flexibility.
The PLST 48G measures 47.875" wide × 27.25" deep × 7.5" tall, with adjustable feet from 8.125" up to 9.125". It requires only a standard 120V/60Hz outlet at 2.5A. Despite the commercial-grade BTU output, no 240V electrical upgrade is needed.
Yes. A 48-inch rangetop requires at least a 48-inch range hood, and we strongly recommend 54-inch coverage for ideal capture given the dual 20,000 BTU burners. CFM should be 1,200 or higher to handle the combined output of eight burners at full blast, and your installer should confirm your ductwork can handle that airflow.
With 94,000 BTUs of total output including two 20,000 BTU burners, most installations require a 3/4-inch gas supply line. Your gas meter and regulator should be sized appropriately. A licensed plumber needs to verify your setup before installation.
The actual width is 47.875 inches with a depth of 27.25 inches, so you need at least 48 inches of uninterrupted counter width plus additional clearance on both sides for safety and workflow. Most 48-inch installations go into kitchens with large islands or dedicated cooking walls. Measure carefully and refer to the spec sheet before ordering.
