How to size an outdoor hood for your grill
Choose a hood 6 to 12 inches wider than your grill. The extra width catches smoke and grease that drift past the edges of the grill.
Select 32 and Elite 34: a 42" hood. Select 40: a 48" hood. Elite 44: our BBQ hoods come in 48" and 60" around that size, and the builder pre-selects the closest fit. Any width can be chosen.

When will my grill ship?
Our grills are on presale right now and ship by November 30, 2026. Your card is charged in full when you place your order.
How does the bundle discount work?
Put a grill and an outdoor hood in the same bundle and you get 10% off everything in it, including the hood's install parts. The discount shows up in your cart automatically, so there's no code to enter. If you take the grill or the hood out of your cart, the discount goes away. It can't be combined with other product discounts.
What size hood do I need for my grill?
Go 6 to 12 inches wider than your grill. The extra width catches the smoke and grease that roll off the sides. We pre-select a size based on the grill you pick, but you can choose any width you like.
Should I get natural gas or propane?
Same grill, same price, so it comes down to your setup. If there's a gas line running to where the grill will sit, go with natural gas. If you'll be hooking up a refillable tank, go with propane (LP).
What's the difference between Select and Elite?
Select (32" and 40") uses straight stainless I-burners at 14,000 BTU each, every one on its own knob, with triangle grates.
Elite (34" and 44") steps up to cast stainless H-burners at 18,000 BTU each. They run hotter and spread the heat more evenly across hexagon grates.
Both are 304 stainless steel and come with a 14,000 BTU rear rotisserie burner, LED-lit knobs, interior lights and a drip tray.
Do I need a chimney extension?
It depends on how high your ceiling is. The bottom of the hood needs to sit at least 36 inches above the grill's cooking surface. What warranty comes with the grills?
Lifetime on the firebox, grates, burners and frame. 5 years on the flame tamers and valves. 1 year on the ignition and electronics. The warranty covers replacement parts, not labor.
