Privacy Statement

Effective date: December 26, 2018  Last updated: September 2, 2026

DVZ Distribution LLC, doing business as Proline Range Hoods ("Proline," "we," "us," or "our"), operates prolinerangehoods.com (the "Site") and sells range hoods, ranges, cooktops, and related products. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the rights and choices available to you.

This policy applies to the Site and to our related sales and customer service activities. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, which have their own privacy practices.

This document is Proline's operative privacy policy. It is published at prolinerangehoods.com/policies/privacy-policy and at prolinerangehoods.com/pages/privacy-statement. Where any other version appears, this version governs.

L. Sensitive personal information No

Sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA, and we do not use or disclose it for purposes that would give rise to a right to limit. Customer accounts on the Site are operated through Shop accounts provided by Shopify. We do not create, receive, or store account passwords or log-in credentials, and we cannot access your Shop account on your behalf. Shopify's handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. See Section 10.

2. Where the information comes from

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, subscribe to emails or SMS, submit a review or claim, or contact customer service.
  • Automatically, through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies as you use the Site.
  • From service providers and partners, including our e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers, and advertising partners.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Process, fulfill, ship, and support your orders, returns, and warranty claims
  • Provide customer service and respond to your inquiries
  • Send transactional messages about your order
  • Send marketing communications where you have opted in, and allow you to opt out at any time
  • Personalize your experience and show you relevant products and advertising
  • Measure and improve the Site, our products, and our marketing, including through A/B testing and analytics
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

4. How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the business purposes described above.

Advertising and analytics partners. Google, YouTube, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Microsoft, Pinterest, Connexity/Taboola, OpenAI, and Nabu.

Service providers. Shopify (e-commerce platform and hosting), payment processors, shipping and freight carriers, Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing), Judge.me (product reviews), Redo (returns and shipping protection), Shogun (site testing and optimization), Microsoft Clarity (site analytics and session analysis), Tidio (live chat support), and CallRail (call tracking and phone number attribution).

Professional advisors. Legal, accounting, and insurance.

Corporate transactions. An acquirer or successor in a merger, financing, or sale of assets.

Legal and safety. Where necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights or property, prevent or investigate wrongdoing, protect anyone's safety, or defend against legal liability.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.

5. "Sale" and "sharing" of personal information

Some U.S. state privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly enough to include the use of advertising cookies and pixels that let partners show you ads on other sites.

We share identifiers, internet and network activity, commercial information, and inferences with the advertising partners named in Section 4 for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under the CCPA this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing," and under other state privacy laws "targeted advertising." We do not receive monetary payment in exchange for your personal information.

In the preceding twelve months, we have sold or shared the following categories: Identifiers (A), Commercial information (D), Internet or network activity (F), Geolocation data (G), and Inferences (K).

We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

You have the right to opt out. See Section 8.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Because the right retention period depends on the type of information and why we hold it, we determine it using the following criteria:

  • The amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information
  • The length of the applicable product warranty and the period during which a related claim could be brought
  • Our tax, accounting, and other legal recordkeeping obligations
  • Whether you have an active account or an open order, return, or warranty claim with us
  • Whether you have asked to receive marketing communications from us
  • The potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure

In general: we keep order, warranty, and transaction records for as long as needed to support the product warranty and to satisfy our tax and legal obligations; we keep marketing contact information until you unsubscribe; and we keep website and analytics data for the period set by the applicable analytics provider.

When personal information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

7. Cookies, tracking technologies, and browser signals

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, secure your session, measure performance, and deliver advertising.

You can manage your choices through our cookie banner, which allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies and to manage preferences by category. Certain technologies that are necessary to operate the Site — including those that process orders and returns, display product reviews, maintain security, and support core site functionality — operate regardless of your cookie preferences. You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the Site may not function properly if you do.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. No uniform industry or legal standard for recognizing and honoring DNT signals has been adopted. We therefore do not currently respond to DNT signals. If a standard is adopted, we will update this policy.

Global Privacy Control. We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If you visit the Site using a browser or extension that transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and we apply that preference without any further action from you. Because GPC is browser- and device-specific, you will need to enable it on each browser and device you use. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Your privacy rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia have rights under their state privacy laws. The rights available to you depend on your state, and are subject to limits and exceptions in the applicable law.

  • Know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of recipients
  • Delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Portability — receive your information in a portable, readily usable format
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising — direct us to stop disclosing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right
  • Opt out of profiling — where profiling produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not engage in such profiling.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a privacy right
  • Appeal — if we deny your request, you may appeal

9. Notice of Financial Incentive

Proline Range Hoods offers a 5% discount on a customer's first order in exchange for their email address. This notice describes the terms of that offer.

What you get and what we collect: A one-time 5% discount code, in exchange for your email address, which we retain to send marketing communications.

How to opt in: Enter your email in the signup offer where this notice is linked.

How to withdraw: You may withdraw from this offer at any time by unsubscribing via the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us at support@prolinerangehoods.com. If you unsubscribe, you keep any discount code already issued to you — it remains valid until it expires, either 18 days from issuance or at the end of the seasonal promotion under which it was offered, whichever comes first.

Value of the information collected: We estimate the value of the email address collected through this offer as equal to the cost of the discount itself — approximately $50, based on our average order value of $1000.

10. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. California Shine the Light

California Civil Code §1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures. To ask, email support@prolinerangehoods.com.

California residents under 18 may request removal of content they have publicly posted on the Site, such as a product review, under California Business and Professions Code §22581. Contact us at the address below.

12. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States and process personal information here. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

14. Links to other sites

The Site may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as by email or a prominent notice on the Site, before they take effect.
