67 Questions to Ask at the Dinner Table

67 Questions to Ask at the Dinner Table - Proline Range Hoods

Today, quality time with family is more important than ever.

Some of the best memories, biggest laughs, and heartfelt moments happen over conversations in the kitchen at the dinner table.

So we have to be very intentional about creating spaces and time to make those memories and connections.

If you have kids or grandkids, remember these classic dinner table rules:

  • No phones at the table.
  • You have to try at least two bites of everything.
  • No elbows on the table.
  • Before you can be excused, you have to tell me about your day.

Dinner time is a great time for fun conversation, bonding, and growth as a family. You want your kids to grow up learning that as well. My parents used to tell me, “If you don’t like dinner, you know when breakfast is served.” “You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.”

This helped me realize that you can’t take anything for granted. Don’t complain and be respectful. Enjoy your food and cherish the time with your family.

In today’s world, some people would rather be on their smartphones than talk with parents and siblings. But give some of these conversation starters a try. You’d be surprised how fun dinner conversations can be, even with those you live with. Not to mention it’s good to break away from screens for a little while.
