How to Start a Return

There are three ways you can return your range hood:

If you email us or call into the office, we'll have you create a ticket at some point in the returns process.

Required Information

When you contact our support team using one of the above methods, you'll need to have your order information handy so we can process your return.

1. Order Number and Serial Number

Look in your inbox for an order confirmation email from Proline Range Hoods when your hood was ordered and shipped. It includes your order and serial numbers. We'll need these to process your return.

2. Why You Are Returning the Hood

Describe why you are returning the hood. Does it have dents from shipping? Is it not turning on? Does it not work with your kitchen like you had planned? What's the main problem with the range hood?

3. Photos or Videos of the Problem

Before we process your return, we want to make sure that the issue with your hood can't be repaired. We also want to verify that the problem(s) exists before sending you a new range hood.

Return Timeframes

At Proline Range Hoods, we have a 5 business day return policy for damaged or defective items. Here's how it works:

Within 5 Business Days: If your hood arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 5 business days of delivery. We'll repair, replace, or fully refund at no cost to you.

6-30 Days After Delivery

If your hood is not damaged but you still want to return it, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery. If approved, a 20% restocking fee will apply and you'll be responsible for return shipping costs.

After 30 Days

We do not accept returns under any circumstance beyond 30 days from delivery.

Inspecting Your Range Hood

If you bought your hood for a renovation project that's a few months out, remember to inspect it within 5 days of delivery to make sure it's in good condition.

Important Shipping Note As you can see from the video, some damage to the package is normal. But if you receive a shipment with significant damage, don't accept it. Instead, have the shipper return it to the sender.

Return Process - After Approval

If we approve the return, here's what happens next:

  • We send you the return shipping label via email for ground orders. Print the label.
  • Pack the hood in its original packaging (with Styrofoam panels, hood parts, and accessories).
  • Attach the return label on top of the original shipping label so the hood doesn't get sent back to you.
  • Visit your local shipping location to return the hood to us.

Once we receive your hood, we will inspect it and send you a replacement. The replacement hood must be of equal value or less expensive.

Note on Freight Shipping - For Large Range Hoods

For freight shipping, all return shipping is free, including freight, for missing, incorrect, or damaged orders in the timeframes mentioned above.

Return Restrictions

There are a few cases where we won't accept a return for your range hood. We won't accept returns if:

  • The hood was installed - Items that have been installed or show any signs of installation are not eligible for return
  • The hood was custom cut, painted, or altered in some other way
  • The return was requested outside the 30-day window
  • The return was not in its original packaging - All returns must include the original packaging
  • The return was not insured when required (freight shipping)
