If your range hood photos made it to the voting round, congrats! Now you want to maximize the number of votes you can get from the public!
While you can’t control which photos we pick here at Proline (although we have a long list of tips for you here), you can have more control over who the public chooses.
We want to give everyone the best chance to win, so we’ll outline some tips on how to get more votes from the public for your range hood picture(s).
Tips to Receive More Votes
Remember: anyone can vote! So, look for different ways to reach out to as many people as you can! Here are some strategies for you.
1. Take the best possible picture.
Follow the tips here to have the best chance to shoot a great photo of your hood in your kitchen. This will help you collect as many votes as possible throughout the seven days of voting.
And don’t worry, Not every winning photo is a million-dollar kitchen. We strive to select the best photos. This is a photo contest after all, not a kitchen contest.
2. Ask your friends and family to vote for your pictures.
Friends and family are the best resources for votes! The average person may not vote for your range hood in particular, but hopefully your friends and family will! Reach out to them and it’ll almost always be a guaranteed vote for your hood. It’s a great place to start.
3. Share your photos or encourage people to vote on social media.
If you’re on social media (who isn’t nowadays?), use those platforms to your advantage! Post your photos to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and anywhere else you have a following.
Ask these people to vote for your range hood and you might be surprised by the results! Voting only takes a couple of minutes so it’s not a burden to ask someone to help you out.
There are buttons by your photo on the voting page that allow you to share directly to both Facebook and Pinterest! The share buttons are below the photo and above the blue “Vote Now” button.
All it takes is one click. Then, write a message if you want and post it!
4. Start posting about the contest before voting begins!
If you submitted photos to our contest, let people know about it before voting begins! This way, you can get people excited about voting ahead of time.
Show people your range hood, post about your renovation, communicate with your followers, tell them what is going well, what isn’t, and anything else about your project. This will help them feel like they’re a part of the renovation process. If you put this effort in early, when it comes time to ask for their vote, they will be more likely to help you out.
How does voting work?
Voting opens during the last week of every month for seven days. Anyone can vote and each person has five votes.
At the end of this seven-day period, we tally up the votes. The five with the most receive $500 and the next five receive $250, for a total of $3,750.
When voting opens, we’ll let you know via email if your hood made it to the voting round. You can also check on this page. If so, let those people know on your social media channels and, chances are, they’ll already be looking for your range hood on our voting page.
And guess what, if your hood doesn’t make it one month, that’s okay! You’ve gained a growing number of followers that will be happy to vote for your hood in a subsequent month. You can submit new photos again next month, and if they make it through to the voting round, you’ll have people eager to vote for it.
Do you have more ideas? Try them out! The more people who vote, the more votes you can receive! You’d be surprised at the ripple effect that occurs when you tell just one person about the contest!
We hope these four tips help you accumulate hundreds of votes in the upcoming months! We’re giving away $7,500 every month so there’s a lot of money to win. Good luck and be sure to check out more of our photo contest resources below. Thanks for reading!
Note: If you didn’t have a chance to enter or your photos didn’t win, don’t worry! You can always enter next month!
