For many kitchen appliances, you can look at the serial number to determine their age. Each company will have a different code for how to read their serial numbers, so it’s best to check on the manufacturer’s website. Or, give them a call with that serial number handy.
Also, different companies will have the serial numbers in different places, too. The most common area for serial numbers is on the bottom or back. If the appliance has a door, it’s probably right inside the door. Or, if you have a range, check on the side of the storage door or broiler.
