We haven't installed yet but we got it out, plugged it in and tested everything. Seems like it will be more than we need. So far I love it.

I’m very happy with my purchase of the UMOD range hood insert. Very good price, free shipping. The insert not only looks good it also performs very well. The LEDs provide lots of light for cooking and the 600 cfm fan provides excellent ventilation.
The unit arrived in excellent condition. There was no visible damage and when connected to power worked flawlessly (i. e. lights, fans, variable speeds and timer). It should be noted with this dual fan unit, both fans are power on concurrently and do not work independently. While this presents no problem operationally, it means there is equal draw along the entire length of the unit.
The unit is heavy and very well-built. However, I found the instructions very basic, with few illustrations, so I had a hard time with the installation. It would be great if they could give you a hole pattern sheet so you can mark the holes accurately. If you are installing it yourself, make a very accurate hole pattern. You will have a hard time if your marks are a little off.

After trying to find a replacement button panel for 3 years, only to get a response from all customer service reps saying this particular hood is no longer manufactured/produced, including replacement parts, I decided to try one more time. And this 3rd year, to edit a coined phrase, was a charm. I was quite fortunate to be connected to and helped by Jenn B., Office Manager, who, from the get-go, went above and beyond to assist me with finding/obtaining a compatible button panel replacement. She offered to "sleuth" in the service/parts department, once I send her a photo of my defective part. Within a couple hours time, Jenn B. called me back indicating she's pretty sure she found the part and will mail it off to me. Within one week later, the button part was received, installed and successfully operating the range hood exhaust fan/speeds!! Proline is so very fortunate to have Jenn B. working at their company in the capacity of manager of their replacement parts dept. Based on my interactions and experience with her, Jenn B. clearly will "go the extra mile" to provide optimum, caring, professional and above satisfactory customer support in order to obtain a successful outcome.

Excellent product and people
It was delivered in good shape and installed three days later. It seems to work very well and is much quieter than the old one. The white covering on the stainless steel is very difficult to remove and would suggest a change to ease that problem. The packing of small items could be improved. For instance, two small stainless steel brackets were found attached to the outside plastic wrap which covers the unit, but unfortunately, not until we were disposing of the packing. Obviously somebody stuck that on at the last moment. You should provide a list of all the items that are included in the package so that people will know to look for them..
Works well and looks nice at a fair price.
