The 13 Kitchen Appliances We Don't Want to Live Without!

SodaStream

My favorite kitchen appliance is the SodaStream. It's a great way to stay hydrated throughout the day and I love that it's so easy to use and that I can make my own seltzer with just the push of a button. Unlike many other appliances, I don't have to worry about cords and the system is easy to move if I shift home workspaces throughout the day and don't want to walk away to get a drink.

The only downside is that I have to replace the canisters often since I like my seltzer extra fizzy. However, bringing back my empty canisters means a discount towards a new purchase, and I try to swap in a few at once to save myself trips. Overall, I love having a SodaStream in my kitchen and remote workspace and it's definitely one of my favorite appliances.

Hamilton Beach Rice Cooker and Steamer

My favorite kitchen appliance is my Hamilton Beach rice cooker and steamer. It has two racks so you can cook an entire meal at once with rice in the bottom bowl, vegetables, and meat like shrimp or fish. Everything cooks in under 30 minutes and the light tells you when it's done. The one thing I don't like about this appliance is the knob to start steaming doesn't always turn on as it should. I have to double-check it.

Electric Tea Kettle

My favorite kitchen appliance is my electric tea kettle. I love that I can set the temperature for whatever type of tea I'm making, so it always comes out perfect. I also like that it automatically turns off once the water reaches the desired temperature. One thing I don't like about it is that it takes a bit longer to heat up than I would like. But overall, it's a great product, and I highly recommend it.

Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven

This air fryer has changed the way I eat. I have been able to cut down on the fat I consume by a tremendous amount, but I still enjoy my food the way I like it. The Instant Vortex has a 6-in-1 functionality which means it can broil, roast, air fry, bake, reheat, and even dehydrate. Because it's so easy to program, I can make my favorite wings, vegetables, or even cookies with the touch of a button.

I save so much cooking time; I literally press and go. The only thing I don't love, which is the problem with all these types of appliances, is that the cleanup is not quite as easy as I wish it could be; it's dishwasher safe, which is fantastic, but there are multiple parts which mean a little more cleaning time. A small price to pay for such an easy cooking experience.

Ninja BN401 Nutri Pro Personal Blender

I can't count the times my single-serve blender has saved me from heading out late in the mornings. Smoothie recipes allow me to get my full dose of fruits, vegetables, and nutrients without sacrificing extra minutes at the dining table with a breakfast plate and fork. I like the Ninja BN401 Nutri Pro because of its power to blend through tough produce like carrots and frozen bananas. Few single-serve blenders have blades strong enough to handle these tough foods. The blender cup can also serve as a to-go bottle, which makes it easy for me to "blend and go" on busy days. That said, this blender can be loud, but that might be a given for all blender models.

An Immersion Blender

My favorite kitchen appliance is an immersion blender. I love how easy it is to use and clean: its ergonomic design makes it simple to grip and the fact that you can submerge the entire unit in soapy water or even place it right in a pot or bowl you're blending makes cleanup much less of a hassle. The speeds are also adjustable so you can puree or mix with precision, which helps make everything from soup to smoothies come out perfectly every time. My only dislike is that, unlike some blenders, it doesn't have multiple functions like chopping and slicing - but what I lose in utility I gain back in convenience when there's less to store away after making whatever needs blending!

LOR Barista Espresso Machine

Now, I love a good coffee in the morning. As my business might suggest, I'm a bit of a coffee enthusiast and I can't recommend the LOR Barista Espresso Machine enough to fellow coffee lovers. Of course, it's always nice to find a good coffee shop to visit on the way to work, but sometimes there just isn't time, and this wonderful machine provides the next best option for those days when you only have time for a quick coffee at home before heading off to the office.

It makes a beautiful blend of coffee, and hits the spot far better than a simple filter coffee, and definitely better than an instant, so if you love your coffee and are looking for the right morning fix on your busier days then this is simply a must-buy.

HAUXHEL Vacuum Sealer Machine

One of my favorite kitchen appliances is the HAUXHEL Vacuum Sealer Machine. I can pretty much vacuum seal any leftovers, meat, or fish and keep it in the refrigerator for days. The freshness of the food stays almost the same. It comes with two modes that can help to keep your foods moist or dry. The only downside is that it comes with a few bags, and you need to pay attention to how you position the bags.

The Instant Pot

My favorite kitchen appliance would have to be my Instant Pot. I absolutely love how versatile it is and how quickly it can cook a meal. It's perfect for busy days when I need to get dinner on the table in a hurry. I also love that I can use it as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté pan, and yogurt maker, all in one. It saves me so much space in my kitchen. I love it for its versatility and speed, as it can cook food much faster than traditional methods. The only downside is that it can be a bit difficult to clean, but that's a small price to pay for the time and convenience it saves me.

DASH Mini Rice Cooker Steamer is Adorable + Convenient

The DASH Mini Rice Cooker has quite literally changed my eating habits. Rice is the perfect carb to accompany so many dishes, but as a single guy, I always have to make too much to get it to cook well using an Instant Pot or just my stove.

The DASH Mini Rice Cooker is adorably tiny and cooks 1/2 cup portions of rice perfectly with virtually no prep or cleanup. The only thing I don't like about it is that you need to soak short-grain rice for a bit to cook fully, but this is also a breeze since you can use the same pot as the

Vitamix Blender

I love my Vitamix blender. The best thing about it is that it cleans really easily. You simply put some hot water and soap in it after use and turn it on for a few seconds and dry. It is really simple and easy to use and it makes great smoothies. One thing I don't like about it is that it is really expensive. We thought about buying this blender for months before we finally made the purchase. It's a big investment for a blender, but ultimately it is worth it if you plan on using it a lot.

Escali Primo Digital Scale

One of my favorite kitchen appliances is my Escali Primo Digital Scale. The ease and accuracy of measuring ingredients makes this an invaluable tool when cooking. I especially like that it's slim enough to fit into the small space I have in my kitchen without being intrusive, along with the minimal design and green accents on the digital display. With Escali products having a 10-year powder-coat warranty, I won't be investing in another kitchen scale anytime soon! My only complaint about this scale is how easy it is to knock off by accident.

Ninja FD302 Foodi

My favorite kitchen appliance is the Ninja FD302 Foodi 11-in-1 Pro 6.5 qt. Pressure Cooker & Air Fryer that Steams. I love the TenderCrisp technology, which lets me quickly lock in juices and achieve a golden, crispy finish all in one nonstick pot. The 6.5-quart cooking pot is also perfect for large groups, as it can fit up to a 5-lb chicken or a 6-lb roast. The air frying capacity is also impressive, with the ability to make up to 3 lbs of hand-cut French fries with up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods. One thing I don't like about the Ninja FD302 Foodi is that the crisping lid is quite heavy and can be challenging to handle when it's hot.

Tips When Selecting Your Next Kitchen Appliance

If you're in the market for a new kitchen appliance, it's important to do your research and make an informed decision. While it's tempting to go for the latest and greatest gadgets, you want to be sure that you're investing in something that will last and meet your needs. Here are a few tips to consider as you look to buy your next kitchen appliance:

  • Check the warranty: A good warranty can give you peace of mind and protection against defects or malfunctions. Make sure you know what is covered and for how long.
  • Consider energy efficiency: Look for appliances with energy-efficient certifications such as Energy Star, as they can help lower your energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
  • Pay attention to size and capacity: Make sure the appliance you choose fits in your kitchen and has the capacity to meet your needs.
  • Read reviews: Look for reviews from other customers to get a sense of the appliance's performance, reliability, and any potential issues.
  • Consider ease of use and maintenance: Think about how easy the appliance is to use and maintain, and look for features like dishwasher-safe parts, adjustable shelves, and simple controls.
  • Check for additional features: Some appliances include multiple cooking options, programmable timers, and automatic shut-off. Consider what features are important to you and look for models that offer those.
